Mouth-blown glass goblets by Bastian Bjerge.

Shaped through heat, breath, and movement. Working with molten glass, each form develops in direct response to the material’s fluid nature.

Informed by historical glassmaking traditions, the goblets carry a sense of continuity between past and present. Subtle shifts in form and proportion reflect the process, where control and unpredictability meet.

Each piece is unique, numbered, and signed.

Wash and Care: Glass is sensitive to temperature changes. Wash gently by hand in warm water with a mild, fragrance-free soap. Can be polished with glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh detergents, which may compromise the surface. Rinse carefully and dry with a soft linen cloth.

Method: Each goblet is mouth-blown in molten glass, shaped through heat, and continuous movement. Drawing on traditional glassmaking techniques, the glass is gathered, blown, and refined by hand, allowing subtle variations in form and thickness to emerge.

Bastian Bjerge is a design student at the Royal Danish Academy on Bornholm, working across glass and ceramics. His practice draws on floristry, where plants and organic structures inform his sense of composition.

Working with molten glass and clay, he explores form through process and material behaviour, informed by traditional glassmaking techniques. Each piece is unique, numbered, and signed.
