Julie Fuhlendorff

Julie Fuhlendorff is educated at the Royal Danish Academy on Bornholm. Clear glass defines her practice. Chosen for its honesty and transparency, it reveals weight, movement, and the traces of its making as light passes through. She begins with familiar everyday forms, allowing them to shift through material and proportion into something more open and sculptural.

Each piece is shaped by hand in the hot shop, where intuition and precision meet in the movement of molten glass.

Referencing late twentieth century Nordic glass design, her work carries clarity in line and material. Formal clarity meets a slower, more reflective approach.

Her pieces move between function and form. They remain recognisable yet gently altered. Through restraint and material focus, everyday objects are given renewed attention and a quieter sense of significance, inviting a more attentive presence at the table.
