FRIPON was established in 2025 with the ambition of bringing renewed light to the Filosof Lamp, originally designed in 1990 by architect Lars Erik Ejlers (1948–2024).

Ejlers moved across disciplines, working with architecture, graphic design, music, and hospitality. The Filosof Lamp stands as his most defined design object. Created for Restaurant Cap Horn in Copenhagen, the lamp combines distinct references: a brass shade shaped with a subtle resemblance to a cymbal, a copper element, and a black anodised cylinder inspired by the lens of a camera.

FRIPON continues this legacy with a focus on material integrity and formal clarity. Craftsmanship and proportion remain central, allowing the lamp’s character to emerge through considered construction and detail.
