Cille Grosell

Grosell works with clay to explore the relationship between material, body, and perception. Her practice moves between the sensory and the enduring, where ceramics become a space for reflection beyond the immediate rhythms of everyday life.

Porcelain is central to her work. Through its translucency and plasticity, she investigates themes of humanity, femininity, and the organic qualities found in both natural and historical phenomena. Soft, bodily surfaces and gentle shifts in glaze evoke associations to skin, flesh, and living structures.

Her practice unfolds through two interconnected tracks. One engages with emotional and sensory relationships to objects, often reinterpreting familiar forms through ceramic material. The other centres on nature, cycles, and sustainability, exploring locally sourced clay and natural processes in collaboration with researchers and fellow artists.

Working from Bornholm, Grosell continues to investigate how material, place, and perception shape one another, allowing ceramics to hold both tactile presence and reflective depth.
