Anna Mors

Anna Mors is educated at the Royal Danish Academy. Her ceramic works intertwine form, surface, and process. Clay is approached not just as a material, but as something with its own inner life, responsive to time, craftsmanship, and fire, unfolding between intention and chance.

Rooted in the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, her work appears simple and refined, yet always holds subtle variations shaped by the unpredictable processes of gas and wood firing. Here, a controlled vulnerability emerges and traces of the hand remain visible. Time is present, not as an idea, but as something physical, held within the material.

The objects carry their own history, marked by restraint, care, and a deep respect for craft that values the imperfect. They invite a slower gaze, where objects, maker, and material meet in considered equilibrium.
