Anne Touborg

Akka Unika by Anne Touborg is shaped by traditional craftsmanship and a tactile, hands-on process. Each tablecloth is printed using classic block-printing techniques, where every motif is carved and applied by hand, one layer at a time. The slow rhythm of repetition, precision, and colour interplay gives the works an expression that is both simple and quietly intricate.

Working with vintage damask and hand-applied pigments, each piece carries its own variations in placement, tone, and pattern, leaving fine differences that reveal the presence of the maker. Sustainability guides the practice, where thoughtful reuse and careful material choices shape every textile.

“My work is grounded in traditional handcraft. I value the imperfect, the tactile, and the time it takes to create something by hand. Nature remains a constant source of inspiration, and my hope is that each tablecloth will be used, cared for, and eventually passed on, caring its own history forward.” - Anne Touborg
